The 1st 3 months of couponing

I have been told by several people that my pics never have food items in them. That is not true. I do get food items but since I am just starting I have not came across those sales yet.
The sales/coupons run in 12 week cycles. Since this is only going on the my 2nd month I have not collected a cycles worth of coupons. I have although stocked enough laudry soap, dish soap, body wash, deorderent, toothpaste, ect. Alot of non food items that cost more then food does. Now I am starting to stock up on food item. I should have enough ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, cereal, to last me until I get it at the rock bottom price. Which is the key buying items when it is at its lowest price.

 The 5 ct is not a trial size, so this coupon should work.
I have not made it to target yet this week so not sure if this is good for my area. It is definitely worth checking out though.

FREE CORTAID AT CVS

CVS is offering $3 back in Extra Bucks when you spend $7 or more on assorted Cortaid, Aveeno, and Benadryl items (limit one offer per Extra Care card.)  Although the item prices weren't listed in the ad, Cortaid products on the shelf at CVS range from $3.99 to $4.29 each.  So here's a suggested deal scenario:

• Buy two $3.99 Cortaid items for a pre-coupon price of $7.98;
• Use two $3 off Cortaid coupons from the 5/15 paper;
• You would pay $1.98 out of pocket, and receive your $3 Extra Bucks -- so this turns into a $1.02 money-maker!

If you don't have the coupons from the 5/15 paper, you could use two copies of this $2 off Cortaid coupon instead, and pay a final price 98 cents for both after Extra Bucks, which is still an excellent price.

WALMART DOLLAR DEALS AND FREEBIES 5/29 - 6/4

Are you heading out to Walmart this week?  Check your coupon binder to see if you can score any of these Walmart dollar deals available beginning 5/29/11.but you can see an entire breakdown of the Walmart ad over at Passion For Savings.

Remember, Walmart stock varies quite a bit from store to store, so if you don't see a particular item at your closest Walmart, you might ask your manager on duty to see if the item is on back-order there, or call another store.

Great shopping trip today! Total out-of-pocket was $16.14 with a savings of $87.38 and I have $4.99 to spend next week at CVS. YAY!!! I also treated myself to a dounut that I didn't have a coupon for.

I just started this blog and will be learning on how to work all this. Anyway, I started this because so many people asked me how to coupon. So I figured this will give them a place to start. I will be updating all my shopping trips and savings. I track on 3 different sites and do work a full time job and family. I will update the best that I can. I always want to help anyone who wants to save money!!!!
